Pinot Noir Langenlois 2016
For the past years we have devoted ourselves to this first-class variety with great passion. In the cool microclimate of the Kamptal valley, on calcareous loess but also metamorphic rock soils, the variety exhibits an origin-specific, energetic and finely detailed character, which remains unmatched by other red wine varieties in the area. This refreshing Cru Village unites our scattered Pinot vineyards and opens up the wide geological and microclimatic spectrum of Langenlois.

Selective harvest by hand in early October. Destemmed. Without sulphurisation of the grape must or juice. Fermented on the skin for 2 weeks, with cultured yeast. Slowly pressed off. Final fermentation in small and big oak barrel. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation. Matured on the lees for 27 months. Bottled in November 2018.
