Grüner Veltliner Ried Kittmannsberg 2017
Kittmannsberg has a high elevation and a characteristic bowl-shaped topographic depression in which an autonomous microclimate is formed. This enables long ripening periods under cool conditions. The soils consist of deep and loamy silt with a high content of clay. The wines ar typically compact with a ripe, yellow fruit character.

Selective harvest by hand during the last third of October. Destemmed. Without sulphurisation of the grape must or juice. Fermented in acacia casks with cultivated local yeast. Partial spontaneous malolactic fermentation. Matured for several months in cask on the lees. Bottled in August 2018.
Wine description
Yellow apples, garden full of herbs, some anis, pomegranate, grapefruit and blood orange, subtle notes of tree sap; fine acidity, the tender tannic structure and some minerality create tight accents, well balanced, beautiful length. - Vinaria 2018/19
